11/10/2016 0 Comments North Korea Strikes...My Hot TopicAs most of us know we dont get much information on North Korea, but as far as Iv'e known North Korea is going through a strike with the U.S. After reading the article what do you think "merciless nuclear strike of justice" means? Briefly explain what and why the strike has been held, against the Us (South Korea) using the article, and then explain in your opinion why North Korea might have held the strike. Do you think North Korea would have an advantage by this strike or have they made the wrong decision.

The noble peace prize was given to Bob Dylan "for having created new poetic expressions within the great American song tradition". One of the main parts in the criteria was "the person who shall have produced in the field of literature the most outstanding work in an ideal direction" which Bob Dylan did have completed. Some of Bob Dylan most famous songs were; "Every Grain of Sand", "Visions of Johanna", "Mr. Tambourine Man", "It's alright Ma (I'm only Bleeding)", "I shall be released", "I'm along the watchtower", "Just like a woman", "Tangled up in blue" and the top two which were 'A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall' and 'Like a Rolling Stone'.
11/1/2016 0 Comments Pipeline Protest...Response Nov 1 The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe is a tribe that is protesting against the construction of a pipeline in North Dakota. It started in 1873. Their tribe is also a part of the Great Sioux Reservation and in 1868 their land by the east bank of the Missouri River was cut. They were opposed to the pipeline because it is being built through the Missouri River, the river they get water for their tribe and is being built across important land. This has been a peaceful protest for a while but people have recently becoming violent with the police and the police is fighting back with laws and their forces. After some time the police ended the protest in riots.
In this article it says that 1% of the world population have more wealth than the whole worlds combined! In the U.S. a group of people would have more wealth as in money than families combined! I think in my opinion money could equal power but only in some cases. For example money could buy you things. Like when instagram beat Facebook in population Facebook used money in power to buy instagram which means now all the population owned by instagram is now part of Facebook in a way. Another example would be, if you had money some people would follow orders from you thinking you were at a higher class level with the more money. When we learnt about the middle ages we learnt that peasants worked to earn a pretty much a life with food and shelter, and they would work for the higher class levels because they had more money. In a final decision I would say that money could equal power most of the time but not always because most people would protest to get rights not go off to do things for the more wealthier people.
Good leaders inspire by telling a society that they will only make god for them as in have them live a good and healthy life with education and things that you would want in a good life. Most leaders would tell people things like this to get either more votes or to get more people standing with them so when they make an opinion people would think its only for good and the leader knows what its doing. I think inspiration is better than using fear because if a person is afraid they wont be afraid for long, they also would start standing up for their own rights but if you use inspirations its more likely for you to have more people stand with you because those people would think your doing it all for their own good.
10/14/2016 0 Comments Mastery Vs. Grades...Response Oct 14In a video we watched in class, the found of Khan Academy, Salman Khan rises an argument that mastery is better than a formal grade. Something he argued on was that when a student gets a formal grade and they get 85%, the 15% that they dont understand confuses them. Its better if the student works and raises that formal grade, but some students may be haunted from that one grade set for them. Salman Khan also argues that everyone is not good at everything. Some students may lack in one subject but do well in the other, but before a student learns something new they should understand and make process in the thing they learned before if they have lacked behind. I do agree with this because I think if a student does not understand they should not learn something new till they understand something right, and a formal grade shouldn't be haunting that student, the student should get the time to make process in between their work.
I think restaurants and bars should not get a right top decide what a server wears because if that server is working there to earn money they should also get their own opinion on decisions made because they would be part of the society around the restaurant or the bar. The bar or restaurant can tell the server what to wear, but it should stay in limit and should not make the server feel uncomfortable. In an article we read in class a women told how uncomfortable she felt working in her uniform. In my opinion the restaurant or bar can dictate what the server wears but it should only be worn by the server if they feel comfortable and if its not going against their right.
Some characteristics I think Facebook shares with a strong empire is Power and Wealthness. Facebook has alot of power because if it was ever was to be beaten by another empire for example Instagram, it wouldn't give up and go behind it would do something about it. In that case Facebook Bought Instagram for about 1 billion dollars to stay in the lead. In my beliefs that is what a strong empire would do. Wealthness comes in here when Facebook used 1 billion dollars to buy instagram. Facebook did have alot of money, and most of the top empires are known for the wealthness. Empires would try to take each other over by coming up with big things and right when instagram was starting to go over Facebook the owner of Facebook took a quick thought and bought instagram. That's what I would call a strong, powerful and wealthness empire.
Global Warming is becoming worse everyday. There is Global Warming in Alaska because there are glaciers melting there. Scientists say its because of greenhouse effect and pollution. That's what they've learnt from facts, but Evangelicals believe that is signs from god because he may be warning everyone. I think that instead of arguing on who's correct or wrong I think best thing to do is find a quick solution. Evangelicals are finding a solution to this at the moment and scientists would just say its greenhouse effect and pollution.
Sources: If you are in medical needs, as in being ill you will maybe choose to end your life its at a point where you have to make the certain choice. Before you continue proceeding with the choice you've made you would need a yes from a psychiatrist, who will make sure this isn't done for no certain reason and has a well being reason behind it. This choice wouldn't come until a doctor has tried his/her best to help you, as in tried to make you realize why you should live. I do agree with this criteria because before the patients take choices like this the doctor is at least helping to make them realize why they shouldn't. Patients have gone through many treatments, and normally have decided a decision like this. Most deaths like this happen in Belgium. I think this happens more in Belgium maybe because of the environment. If people live in an environment that isn't really safe and get people to make not such safe decisions people can get ill or take wrong decisions if they are ill already.
